We love any chance to collaborate with talented industry vendors and create beauty. Our April style shoot with Wedding Paper Divas at StudioWed was the ideal opportunity. Teamed with an incredible vendor group (listed below) we created a beautiful and unique urban botanical setting.
Our floral inspiration was to focus on unusual greenery and utilize plant and foliage types that are not typically seen in fresh designs. We wanted the greenery to act as a focal. These beautiful varieties included coleus plants, peperonia, zebra plant, maranta and hoya.
We also incorporated unique flowers such as frill tulips, which have beautifully textured tips. We were able to use draping, fresh cut frittilaria for the first time, which was stunning. We created a large, lush flower and foliage centerpiece on an elevated acrylic vessel for the focal piece and complimented this with a succulent or coleus plant at each place setting. For the background, we hand sewed individual sword ferns, succulents and tulips onto the modern fabric to create an organic and beautiful pattern.
For the complimentary bridal bouquet, we used coleus plant foliage, with textured fox tail and sword fern with ranunculus, extending fritillaria and tulips for pops of vibrant color.
We also added to the beautiful dessert display with potted plants and succulent blooms in gold vessels. We loved how the metallic details on the cake and vases complimented the invitation design by Wedding Paper Divas. We created a thick layer of fern, foliage and tulip and ranunculus blooms in a neck around the base of the coordinating cake by Intricate Icings.
We look forward to seeing additional images of the other details of this shoot in the weeks to come. Stay tuned as Wedding Paper Divas shares other unique portions from the other vendors involved.
