Karen and Brian were married exactly one year ago, on December 18th, with a gorgeous ceremony at Cherry Hills Chapel and a reception at The Sanctuary. Karen found her incredible Vera Wang gown at Anna Be Bridal boutique. The intricate gift cakes were created by the talented team at Das Meyer. The gorgeous photographs are courtesy of Dan Weaver of Channel 9 news, although a few reception detail shots are from our camera.
We created a warm, winter aisle with treated gold birch branches and seasonal greenery adhered to the pews with ribbon. The bridesmaids carried textured bouquets of red and wine colored blooms including roses, mini calla lilies, parrot tulips and hypericum with navy viburnum berry accents. Karen’s bouquet included ivory hydrangea and vendella roses with pine sprigs. Adhered to Karen’s bouquet with satin ribbon was a special heirloom, a mother-of-pearl bible that was her Grandmother’s. The boutonnieres were a deep red mokara orchid cluster with a touch of coordinating, seasonal greenery.
Karen’s centerpieces included silver candelabras with hanging crystals, elegant ivory pillar candles and lush floral wreaths at the base with blooms coordinating with the bouquets. We decorated her cupcake tower with pepperberries and greenery but the amazing cakes with fondant ribbon shone on their own.
Karen is a friend from college so I particularly loved making her wedding vision come to life. She was a beautiful bride and Karen and Brian are expecting a new arrival next year! Many, many congratulations all around!
